The Monster

There's a monster that lives in us all~

there is a beast i'm told of

and with it we must cope

it's full of filthy lies 

and empty dreams that leave no hope

its jowl is full of gossip

and its teeth daubed yellow

by the fetor of jealousy

it conceives, this nasty fellow

the monster resides

in a place no one can see

you are impotent to him

he exists in you and me
