Love Set Afire

Love comes in ways unexpected 

To old friends 

To passionate lovers 

Inseparable partners 

A connection you thought 

Would never cross either of your paths 

25 years down the line 

New love has now formed around a women's heart 

Her eyes are now glowing with fire 

A love even heard in her voice 

Felt in her hands 

New love has changed a life 

 That was lined in the dark 

He was the one to bring her heart back into place 

  A love for only one man 

Only one soul 

The fire set only by admiration for this man alone 

Stepping stones taken together 

Each new adventure taken hand in hand 

Mind, body, and soul 

But for this woman 

Love has taken away to the land only lovers can find

This poem was written for a woman that i know and love very much as i watch her start to fall for her new man.. This is how i see their relationship
