INSOMNIA

INSOMNIA

A Poem by Kelsey
"

My words still fall short of conveying the awful experience.

"
If only I could sleep. Instead, torture.
Night after night, hour upon hour.
Senses heighten. Stomach pain.
Old and new thoughts rush
My head. Without rest. I
Need sleep. It won't come.
I see the peace on your face
And envy your sleep.

Very short and powerful. I think you did a masterful jot expression and detail of the emotional toll of Insomnia. I appreciate you sharing and look forward to reading more.
