I'm on it

I'm on it

A Poem by Kal-emma

I've watched a thousand sunsets,
wondering when my time would appear
and break onto the shore like a wave
powered by the hypnotic gaze of the moon.
Each fleeting moment left me waiting
sitting at the edge of a chance that seemed
to be just beyond my reach.
I just sit focused on the horizon
anticipating the dawn
breaking my concentration with the ushering of change.
The wind whispers the good news
and envelops me within a cloud of fog
as if to materialize into a figure and hug my body.
The earth sighs and I feel the swell in mother earth's belly.
Her smile is wide, stretching from the Bronx
all the way to Cavalry with singing her song of rejoice.
You are here.
You have come.
I am home.
