One summer night

One summer night

A Poem by Kendall Edison

A thick wall of hotness

Coming never stopping

Stillness

No breeze

Then you come sweat running down

Seductively

You come closer

Our bodies really close now

Feeling the heat of another person

Exhilarating

We touch first

Our lips

We kiss long

Then our chests

We are one

Intertwined

So close can’t move any closer

Then you pull away

Me trying to say something

But words do not form

Screaming with no sound

You leave

I wake my sheets soaked with sweat

A dream? No it couldn’t have been

I still feel your kisses on my lips.
