trembling

trembling

A Poem by AKhaus

the sound of your voice trembling in my mind
you are asking me another question I cannot answer
and all the wishes fall into empty wells
no pennies at the bottom to pay for this
the vision of your face trembling in my dreams
the sum of the relationship only a blur on the timeline
a moment so long turned as quick as a blink
unraveled from the perfect ribbon that held this so seamlessly
shredded and tattered by the hurricane that consumed us
fate is fate and destiny was played
the touch of your skin trembling in my empty hands
how cruel the space that obliterated our existence
