the world upside down

the world upside down

A Poem by AKhaus

the only time I can see the world upside down is in the reflection of the pond.
from my toes to my head, I spin around and wish I could fly to the bottom.
I don't know why I am so afraid to live upright, my heart still feels below the water.
my tears traveling inward, and my thoughts just fading -  but I have this world and I love to see it upside down.
how it's beauty is more relevant in backwards motion, than in the speed it's been thrusting since I noticed these cracks.
how calm the image floating above, to touch it is to cause a blur and ripple.
I need this perfectly reversed palace to hide when I cannot seem to feel anything tangible in my days.
the only time I can see the world upside down is in the reflection of the pond.
the ghosts don't wander there and the pain disappears, it fades for that liquid holds more weight.
