I am the Gatekeeper

I am the Gatekeeper

A Poem by AKhaus

Let us not hasten the moment with warm regards as we must impale these thoughts which sound the sirens of hollow truth.

It will be told to me, that I am the one who can let you pass; yet it is in that passing you reign absolute sovereign power over me.
Advising of such victory you have beguiled me.
An illusion of immortal stance, I am folly in such praise and prideful dance.
My eyes glazed with glory as you reap the rewards of your falsely told story.
Yet now, as the words have played slowly back to me with unveiling construct, you again surrender to a crown and the slipping tongue wraps tightly around.
