Slow fury

Slow fury

A Poem by AKhaus

The silence festered as the fire did grow

A heart so full and gentle turning inward to nights blackened bow

Striking swift that piercing did not fail it’s fate

Down low, as deep as that empty mind, the fall did take

Not once did she ever wonder the destiny’s cruelty upon that drake

Feasted on with insatiable speed, as the crows cawed as the lament carcass laid blunt

Not once did she wonder as it all slipped far and away

I like this style of writing, short but almost lyrical limning type of storytelling. tyfs
