The train keeps moving

Faster now as I look back

To could have beens

Would have beens

And what ifs

Insecurities

Fears

Past hurts

Blind us from the truth

Where are we now?

Safety

Yearning

Soft touches

Like coming home for the first time

How did we arrive here?

Living in the past of the other

The ideals of a dreamed future

Never in the present

Words left unspoken

Has our time come and gone?
