Memoirs of an alcoholic

Memoirs of an alcoholic

A Poem by Deos Fortioribus Adesse

Blood and liquor were one,

Harmful, but it kept the storms calm,

Hazy eyes with clear thoughts,

Sobriety, the only thing lost,

Foul breath, no, sweet incense,

Lips that spoke with a defected tongue,

Begged for ears to trust what they said,

But alcohol-laced words have never been trusted.
