The Dark Light

The Dark Light

A Poem by King James

The Dark Light

Here we are once again, I confined in this pen,

To display a mirror image of what lie within.

The pain that overshadows, keeps devouring my light,

Like a game but now its over, shadows eat at my life.

As if though for a lifetime, I tried to alleviate,

But I too have never admitted to loving all that I hate.

For if so, history would be a mystery, instead it repeats,

Its agility to bring hostility and misery is unique.

I look at the way we to make things brighter and happy,

There’s a flame that just brings pain, still its lighter attracts me.

Try not to give up for he is me and me is he,

So if I can’t live for me, its only fair I live for he.

Not just for the way we have chosen to correlate,

But for the tolerance and commonsense we display as ingrates.

So as I leave it be, this is the story of my life,

No need in telling me that I’m lost, truly this darkness is my light!

I like the part about history how it repeats.
Great flow and nicely written.
