Royal Slumber

Royal Slumber

Royal Slumber

The Blinds of time shall never close on us,
Just give me your heart to hold and trust.
Even as we live in this house of pain,
With a birds eye view of the sorrow that rains.
A first look at the tears that streak down your face,
My heart aches for you I devise your escape.
The love we can obtain the level of passion at our disposal,
Cannot be taken seriously if you  keep denying my proposal.
I know why and I don't blame you for your decision,
I to would hate living in a world where perfection’s only envisioned.
Words that can only be promised as worlds separate faith,
Disposing hope in little bits teasing you while your awake.
Your only escape is when you dream; when you fall asleep,
But then the reality of waking up makes even dreams seem bleak.
The world alone through dreams unknown convey what's in the heart,
And so as long as we sleep we will never be apart!
Summers chill knows no limits, winters heat knows no confines.
This is my oath to you my love not just words that rhyme.
Indeed we have the light of day to search for opportunity,
And yes I agree with what you say our hearts beat in unity.
But as long as day turns to night and you are in my royalty,
My queen take your place on this throne with me, I give to you my loyalty.
May we sit hand and hand mutually ruling with rational judgment,
Us not being together is the greatest injustice.
I need not to be told I'm wrong or a fool for thinking big,
For I have told myself no matter how far its only a dig.
It takes 1 million failures to make a great success,

So failing a million more times should make us both impressed.
Even if I am far out of my mind thinking we can belong,
In a world where even your right seems to always go wrong,
They say too much of a good thing tends to turn bad,
This love must be appalling cause its been many years glad.
I understand how you can hate me for filling your head,
Speaking so unrealistically when the truth stares at you every morning in bed.

But remember before you woke, it was the dream that you enjoyed,
That brought life into my words making your worries deploy.
And so engage with me if you will to rescue a love that never dies,

Hear my name in your heart, as you close those drowsy eyes.

What beautiful sentiments and a perfect rhyme scheme. This is so telling in that many of us seek shelter in sleep. When the world woes can not touch us and magical things happen. A great write. Thank you for sharing.

I have lived this literally~

This seems like a proposal most women won't refuse~
