The war we are dying to live

The war we are dying to live

A Poem by King James
"

It Never Ends

"

The war we are dying to live

My flag flaps around like a fish in a bowl with no water,

I take a final look into the eyes of my youngest daughter.

Like coal burning wood, my soul feels set on fire,

The sword of pain has pierced my armor of desire.

Straight through the heart it seems I’m dying to live,

But as I lay on the battleground my soul still doesn’t give.

It doesn’t escape its imprisonment in my body and ventures a new path,

Soldiers dying left and right, blood shed show wars gruesome aftermath.

I hear the shatter of glass and picture hopes final defense drop,

I open my eyes and breathing hard I escape the dream stops.

The mist, the tress the lovely tropical breeze,

Only to be discarded by those that choose to deposit horrific seeds.

Yes I’m dying to live and survive life’s endless confrontation,

Trying to not sin and repent for my many disorderly confiscations.

Temptation can take any size and shape it wants to choose,

And it’s only what you like that’s why they call it devils food!

So take consolation in God strength, never fight such a battle on your own,

Cause in the end surely you will call heaven home!

=]. "So take consolation in God strength, never fight such a battle on your own.." There are so many people in this world that need to hear that. I really enjoyed this poem and I love the title. You might need a little bit of editing. Very well done. God bless.
