Thankyou

Thankyou

A Poem by Drew

Thankyou

If before me now you stood,

But only a warm breaths distance away.

Smiling up at me as your eyes greet mine.

I would take your face in my hand

And hold you ever so gently.

From my lips part only my most heart felt sentiments.

Words that come from the depths of my soul.

Words of no consequence or meaning

Without action.

If before me now you stood

I would hold your face with the softest touch

And stroke your hair with gentle fingertips

My eyes locked into yours

Only but a warm breaths distance away.

Sadly with me now

You are not…

The glory of my hearts passion

I may never know.

Sweetheart,

Blessed am I to be given this day.

Forever grateful for your friendship’s precious gift

You are my angel.

My breath swept away

I am captured in all your essence

Your wisdom lights my path.

If before me now you stood

But a warm breaths distance away

The sweetest of all sentiment

To part mine lip

Remains the simplest of all…

Thankyou.
