You & I

I played you a melody with words 

And you saw it play in front of you like a movie 

You saw the sand and the sea, the grey sky 

above and the soft mist in the air. 

You could taste the salt, and see the two 

people in love sailing across 

          the vast                                       waters. 

You saw this, but you did not see that those 

two people were 

          you                       &                              I.
