As the title notes, this s for entry into a contest.

There is a darkness that dwells within human hearts. A black mass that is hatred and revenge. It consumes you, swallows you, crushes you, snuffs out the light in your soul. You lose your ability to care, to love. There are those who reject this sickness, who fight against it, and there are those who fuel it and feed it.
