Leaving.

Leaving.

A Poem by .abigail.
"

My best friend is leaving my school, so I won't see her much at all. It's so sad. This is a different style to what I usually do. It was just a release for my emotions, and it's completely true.

"

“I’m leaving,” you say, the dreaded words cutting the silence as they cut my heart.

I stand in shock, tears threatening to break the iron grip on my emotions.

You continue, explaining, but I hear no more,

Save the constant beat of my heart as it refuses to stop.

Leaving, leaving.

Leaving.

An argument starts up between me and myself.

Leaving? She can’t leave. No. No. NO.

Ha, leaving? As if she’d leave. It’s just another one of your nightmares.

She’s leaving.

She’s NOT leaving. Stop being silly.

She is.

Not.

Is.

Not.

SHE’S LEAVING.

Leaving.

About
Hey. My real name isn't Abigail, but I prefer it, and I don't want my friends to read any of the stuff I've written, so I'm not putting my real name. I was born in 1994, I live in Australia. M.. more..
