Turn to Me

Turn to Me

A Poem by The Devil's Own B***h

If scarlet streams stain your wrists
I’ll be there to heal the wounds.
If you find yourself freefalling
I’ll be there to catch you.
If you find yourself with a gun in your hand
I’ll be there having taken the bullets out already.
So, if you’re feeling down,
Turn to me,
Because your life means
The world to me!

I like the line "If scarlet streams stain your wrists.' The rest are sweet, but I think they could be more powerful metaphors. Repetition (If you) is often a good thing, but it feels to short and too many cliches ("find yourself freefalling," "I'll be there to catch you," "if you're feeling down").

I found "If you find yourself with a gun in your hand, I'll be there having taken the bullets out already" also to be poignant, although that line doesn't feel as tight as I think you could probably make it.

Nice sentiments and emotion!
