Why do you look down on me for what I choose to believe?

Why do you look down on me for what I choose to believe?

A Poem by Bellarina
"

I've had several people think that my beliefs are hilarious. Why, I have yet to know. I don't force it upon anyone, yet people laugh at me. This is for all of the people who think that my beliefs are "whack" or stupid.

"

Why do you look down on me

For what I choose to believe?

Why do you curse it

Call it a joke?

When I don't tell you

What's the truth?

I believe in Christ.

I believe in reincarnation.

I believe that this life is a punishment

For wrong doing in a different life.

Is it wrong to believe something

When I don't shove it upon you?

I don't force my beliefs upon you

And yet you still taunt me so.

Why do you look down on me

For what I choose to believe?

Why do you curse it

Call it a joke?

When I don't tell you

What's the truth?

I don't force my religion down your throat

So why do you curse my God?

I don't tell you what to believe

But why do you think my beliefs are worthless?

I did nothing to deserve taunting

Because I've never turned on you.

I haven't tried making you believe

Things that you choose not to know.

You ask me why I believe

Like I do.

It's because I have religious faith.

Why do you look down on me

For what I choose to believe?

Why do you curse it

Call it a joke?

When I don't tell you

What's the truth?
