Crossroads

A Poem by Kitty Robinson
"

Poem. Hope you like!

"

You always used up all my time,

Your name is taped inside my mind.

I would always hide and you would find,

I loved it when our hands entwined.

We felt the world was undefined,

We dreamt of Earth while on Cloud 9.

I was always yours and you were mine.

Until that fateful day came....

He took you away,

And I wanted you to stay,

I hope that he will pay.

For taking my best friend far, far away... from me.

Pictures of you just couldn't compare,

Those shady gray eyes and perfect hair.

A beautiful stride and most gracious hips,

I keep telling myself to get a grip.

Your coming back, yes I know you will,

I have a watchful eye and its my skill.

I see him huggin and kissin on the lips just right,

I wake up screaming in the middle of the night.

Nothing's right without you by my side,

That best friends forever trick was just a lie.

You know what its like to lose someone true,

But sadly I've come to the crossroads with you.

I didn't really like it when he came to school,

The enemy of disaster can be so cruel.

He spent most of his days always talking to you,

It didn't come to mind when our friendship outgrew.

We went different ways and I know you don't care,

He kept us apart and I thought that’s not fair.

You went to the ocean and I ran to the sea,

I'm asking, do you still remember me?

He took you away,

And I wanted you to stay,

I hope that he will pay.

For taking my best friend far, far away... from me.

It vanquished my soul and I broke into tears,

Depression concludes that my heart break is severe.

Take some old needles and stitch it back together,

I want some old memories that will always last forever.

So now I've come to the point where I just don't like you,

With all the sadness that you put me through.

I've come to realize that I fell in love with you.

I miss you,

I need you,

I can't come and free you.

There's a whole in my heart,

That sets us apart.

I'm bleeding your pain,

And your crying my tears,

Because nothing's the same,

In the Atmosphere.

I'm willing to change if you could be mine,

I'd wait for you until the end of time.
