New Day For Me

Beautiful, this life.

 Today I feel fearless

Memories pass through my mind.

But I don't flinch this time.

What is it that I'm trying to find?

Love is surrounding me.

I couldn't ask for a better life.

A year ago my world was torn.

Filled with a cold soul, a lot of strife.

The cold days are all over now.

And my lungs, I can finally breathe.

Without snorting the white powder up my nose.

My mind is free, free from all the seethe.

I'm glowing in the cheeks.

I'm sparkling in the eyes.

My world is spinning with laughter.

Like a child at a playground, sunny blue skies.

And I'm thankful to all that helped me.

The world gets brighter each and every day.

Where would I be without my girls..

Probably broken and rotting away...

Its a new day for me..

I can't wait to see what the world brings me..
