The Huntress

The Huntress

A Poem by Electric Green Earth Child
"

A tale for lovers

"

I don’t find you lying in wait
I don’t see you near any gate
You’re treading a path
It winds through woods, weeds, and forests as of late.
Only the sky knows
Only the wind that blows
Only the grass, so green
Can show
Where you need to be with me.
I’ll be your Artemis
Running with my bow
Teeming with pleasure,
As I seek you out
Among the rocks hidden with snow.
I long to walk the same paths
You’ve tread through leaves
Falling, burning both amber and red.
Only the sky knows
Only the grass, so green
Can show
Where you need to be with me.
I’ll be your lady fair
And lead you through
The flowers colored periwinkle and pear.
I’ll make to seek the elusive map of your heart
And sing to the mountain goddesses
Of my love for you.
Only the sky knows
Only the wind that blows
Only the grass, so green,
Can tell, of my love for you.
