Absent father

Fathers/dads play a big role in a young mans life.. Funny how mine did too even tho he was never around..

Always felt like we should be close..

I look like you, act like you..

We're two different people but in all reality, we're one in the same..

I guess things change or don't go the way you think things should go..

Because we never had a relationship, we were never close..

At first, I didn't know what I did but now I know there's nothing I could've done..

It'd always come out the way it came out..

With us it'd still been like a drought..

Nothing there to help make us grow..

Just you not there so I had to build myself up from an all time low..

So with all that being said, if you was to die today..

I don't think it would bother me in the slightest way..

God I hope you can forgive me for what I've said but I need you to understand..

My father was never there, I am who I am due to a woman..

A woman has made me who I am..

Yet i'm a man due to the absence of my father...
