Broken Heart

It's a sad "song." I even came up with a tune.

My only hope now gone

My life is falling apart

Tears fall from my eyes

Who can fix my broken heart?

Years you stayed by me

Always full of smiles

You took me on special walks

For what seemed miles

And now you're gone

My tears fall

If you were here

You'd wipe them all

You always said

'Everything is fine'

You would do anything

To make my day shine

Why did you have to leave me?

Why were we torn apart?

Now who can I turn to?

Who can fix my broken heart?

I know this is kind of weird, but I like what people leave behind in my heart (good or bad). This may not make much sense, but if someone broke my heart well I'd be glad I did because then I'd know what we had was real, tangible. The emotion that comes with a broken heart would also imprint a memory in my mind, and even though memories can be sad, embarassing, frustrating, etc. I still love them. Anyway, I know I'm just babbling to myself here but I guess that's how much thought your poetry provokes. So thanks for reaching out and showing this to me.
