Love Won Pride

  He was the last man on earth

That she could ever marry

But something suddenly changed

Making her heart flutter like the wings of a fairy

He wasn't the same person

She had met at the ball

Who danced with no one

Not one at all

When she told him of his pride

He was suddenly caring

So thoughtful 

Kind and understanding

Then it made her realize

She shouldn't have ever said, "no"

He was her soul mate

Certainly not a foe

That was when she tossed and turned

She couldn't sleep that night

She wandered outside

Wishing to make things right

Then she turned and saw him

Coming out of the mist

He said he loved her

And his cold hand she kissed

Their love had won over their pride

And she was sure it was worth it

Looking into his eyes

She knew that moment was perfect
