Pluto

Pluto

A Poem by Kayla

You saw a brightness in me when I didn't believe there was any to see.
You listened when I thought I had nothing to say.
You held on when I was sure you'd let go.
Someone like you is once in a lifetime,
A comet shooting across the sky,
The simple memory enough to light the darkest soul.
Every day my thoughts return to you.
So far away, yet so close in my heart.
Maybe, just maybe, you'll fall out of the sky just for me,
Land in my startled arms.
And maybe, just maybe, you'll always stay.
