Red

Samantha was not one much for understanding the reasoning of adults.

You see red was her favorite color and naturally always carried a red pen with her.

With it she would write her tall h’s and swirly S’s with bold red ink.

But adults didn’t much agree with her thoughts on red.

No, they would much rather use red on stop signs as though to yell at passing drivers or use her precise red pens to tell bad grades from good ones.

Adults used her favorite color to say pay attention, this is important!

But Samantha found what they thought as important was not really important at all.
