Scribbled in the Margins

A naive little rhyming piece I had scribbled at the end of a journal entry a few years ago.

Hear the stunted, curt reply
Walk away and don't you cry
It’s just another bad goodbye.
Don't ask why, don't even try
On some you simply can't rely
But you'll get better, by and by
So keep your pride and fly it high.
