Hero

Hero

A Poem by NoNameGiven
"

I'm not a boy, I'm just an hero, I'm not a man, I'm an hero. These are song lyrics. And the grammar is intentional, there is a reason.

"
Every morning, I wake up
And the sun burns my eyes,
And the sounds hurt my ears,
And I sit and count the years.
Way too many, way too little.

I'm not a boy,
 I'm just an hero,
 I'm not a man,
 I'm an hero.

I spend my time just drifting along.
I'm a zombie stuck on auto-walk,
And all the pills taste just like chalk.
What a wonderful taste to know.
Where the f**k did it all go?

I'm not a boy,
 I'm just an hero,
 I'm not a man,
 I'm an hero.

I'll just stumble through the door
Into the street, where i will continue
To ignore you.
Say what you will,
It is what it is.

The burning fire and hand grenades.
The rope burn and oil stains.
Hear all the sheep bleating,
They just don't know what they're missing.
I'm an hero, and my grin shows it.

I'm not a boy,
 I'm just an hero,
 I'm not a man,
 I'm an hero.
