Unite!

Unite!

A Poem by Beaudyn
"

Stand up for your own civil rights!

"

The words come to me in the dark.
Thoughts fleeting, heart beating.
The journey on which we'll embark.
We'll take our stand, hand in hand.
Throughout the world, across the land.
We'll permanently make our own mark.
We've got much to say, this very day.
No longer will there be hell to pay.
Together we can pave the way.
Voices sounding as the Lark!
So, unite my friends! Let this not be the end!
Give it a try, freedom for you and I!
We won't go down without a fight, for we all are entitled to our rights!
No longer just the common man, for what you believe, take a stand!
Unite my brothers, sisters and friends, with your enemies you shall make amends.
Forgive them, they know not what they do.
Remember always:
To thine own self be true!
