Sand

Sand

A Poem by Randolf Ramos
"

What we are all about

"
Walk along the beach,
as if painting your pair of feet.
Like birds freely playing
in the orange sky.

The morning is so beautiful at dawn
The sun is the witness of your journey
That seems to watch every
step you take.

Never blink.
Never neglected.

Travel the shore
That seems endless.
The sands where
you apply your feet are deliberately brittle .

But never forget
the music of the waves.
The kiss of the wind on your journey
Feel free to carve your feet in the sand
to the end of the beach at
dusk.

Your feet will never be reflected
On the canvas sands at dusk.
But on another morning even
the waves have swallowed up the footprints of your feet.

You witness the sun.
You witness the sea.
You witness the free bird.
You witness the wind that once touched
Your feet.

That has once been a busy and motivating
journey on your journey.

I like the imagery of the sand and the beach. Our footprint being our journey washing away each night to make way for new footprint journeys the next day. Beautifully done

Indeed, the waves will wash away even the deepest of footprints. This is not evil, just the way of the material world. What will not be washed away cannot be seen by the eye of flesh.
