A World Alone

A World Alone

A Story by _KristiKatastrophe

I sat there, alone, gripping the saphire heart neclace he had given to me just a few weeks before. It was all i had left of him, along with the painfully fresh memories. To me, it seemed like just yesterday when this had all happened. It was so sudden, like my feet had been taken out from under me. I had been knocked into a coma. I couldn't think about anything else but him. His smile, warmth, and gentle touch were some of the things i missed the most. I tried to grasp this concept, but as hard as i may try i just didn't understand. For a 12 year old child in seventh grade, i actually understood more than most people, but this was just too much for me. All the stress, depression, and responsibility were coming at me all at once. And I didn't think I could take any more.
