Alchemy

Alchemy

A Poem by Kristina Yoder

Wooden handles and
steel tips-
a full moon,
the feel of you on my lips.

Detergent and musk,
watermelon lust-
dormant grass,
lying crushed.

Swirling elements
set just right,
transformed my world
that night.

The alchemy of you
and me
is explosive-
and won't ever cease.

So picture now,
if you will,
only light
on the horizon - still.

It's us,
forever
an eternal star.
I'm there
with you-
no matter when, where or
how far.

I like the imagery of alchemy and passion. Great writing.
