I Have Lived A Dream

I Have Lived A Dream

A Poem by Kryptonite

 I Have Lived A Dream

I have lived a dream

That felt so wrong

And I have lived a dream

That at one point felt so long

As I gather you into this room

To share my dream

I see only your legacy

And the people you’ve helped

For we are all teachers

And life just one magical class

Trust me, I’m not made of hot air or gas

I have lived a dream

I have climbed to the top of my Everest

Only to look down and see the ocean of places I’ve got to visit

And I’ve traversed life’s hardest places with the slightest difficulty

Dreaming about the next step I’ll take

Only after I wake

Today is the day I’ll show you my travels

As you see who they’ve molded me into

So don’t be moved by my dreams

We are all dreamers

Start dreaming

Things might have been tough

But I have lived a dream

I left you with some of my knowledge

So you can see who I am

How my dreams shaped me

I lived the dream

To inspire people to be the best they can be

Life is supposed to be fun

But it’s the challenges that make us who we are

Give yourself a moment to close your eyes

What do you see?

I see my legacy staring back at me

For I have lived a dream
