One Small Line, One Big Difference

One Small Line, One Big Difference

A Poem by The Kuks

Law blesses the good
Grace saves the bad
Law says "get to work!"
Grace says "it is finished!"
Law makes us self-involved
Grace makes us Christ involved
Law magnifies on human sin
Grace magnifies on God's righteousness
Law rebukes the darkness
Grace turns on the light
Law pressures the battle
Grace already won the fight
Law defines religion
Grace defines relationship
Law enhances uniformity
Grace enhances unity
Law convicts us of sin
Grace convicts us of righteousness
Law says "it depends on what you do."
Grace says "God is BIGGER than what YOU do"
Law earns your salvation
Grace gives you salvation
Law magnifies sin
Grace defeated sin
Law makes Jesus our example, our role model
Grace makes Jesus our saviour
Law makes us act like Christ
Grace makes us BE like Christ
Law makes salvation a legality
Grace makes salvation a joy ride
In the Law humans must produce holiness
In Grace God produces Holiness in us
Law makes us avoid the world
Grace makes us conquer the world

Law makes Grace obsolete
Grace makes Law obsolete
Romans 11.6

So this is a line, you decide
Law that demands from you
or Grace that supplies TO you.

DISCLAIMER:

As Romans 11.6 says, if it is by grace it is no longer by works, otherwise grace would not be grace. And if it is by works, there is no longer grace, otherwise works would no longer be works.

Therefore Grace, and the Law(human effort, good deeds, human deeds, good or bad) CAN NEVER work together with Grace. the two are mutually exclusive. you can either have one or the other, never both in any proportionality. They dont work in shifts, if Grace is at work, works cant even enter the building and vice versa. they are not interdependant. They are not equals.
It is not half our effort, half Gods Grace. its either all our effort, or all Gods Grace. Amen. ENJOY!
