think about yourself for a moment, including your past. what do you see?

The mirror tells the truth,
It holds no judgement.
Primped and clean or covered in soot,
Will the truth be punishment?

Is your heart tainted,
Or is it innocent and pure?
Is your face simply painted,
Will you see, or do you fear?

Will you deny what it shows,
Though you know it's true?
The truth is all it knows,
Who you are, is that really you?

If you're ugly, will your fear grow greater?
What do you see when you look in the mirror?
