I am a slave to the new religion

One that gave me hope for freedom, a dream and a clear vision

A period I rejoice for being kept in captive to start a new beginning

The rebirth of a new believe from our forefathers to my generation 

Oh yes, I am slave to the new religion 

I am chained to my thoughts 

And wished I became a fugitive to my own words 

I look up to and respect all my masters

But I only serve one master who is up above the sky 

The giver of wisdom and knowledge to say profound words none can defy

And so I give thanks to Jah

Another believer of words that are found in the Scriptures of the Bible as proverbs

Words that invaded my town and impregnated innocent minds with thoughts 

Words that Tied me in shackles till I mastered the Art

And I swear 

Words that  no other can ever take apart

Oh yes, I am slave to the New religion

One that makes me want to express myself in any possible kinda way

For I have forged my words as a weapon 

To shield thou from thy enemy 

So when my masters speak, I speak 

And when the sky is the limit, I will stand at its peak

At last  I shall fear no Evil  and will die with words in thy mouth
