For the Murderer

For the Murderer

A Poem by kyam
"

forgiveness

"
For the murderer of my daughter now
I want to know how
You could take her life you see
And left a permanent broken heart for me

How could you be so cruel?
You broke all the rules
Violating her so
You decided it was her time to go

Did you ever think of the people you hurt
You just killed her and put her in the dirt
You strangled her for 5 minutes
Was your heart really in it?

I must forgive you even though
You hurt me down to my very soul
That's what God says to do
So it's lucky for you

I have peace about forgiving you
I knew it was something I had to do
So it's done and rightfully so
I had to do this and let go

I pray that God will be your judge
Because I will never budge
About how vicious you are
To kill my perfect star

Vengeance is temporarily soothing so I admire those of us that have to travel the long road (practically on foot around the world, it seems) to forgiveness. Without forgiveness, we will never be complete or at our best for the rest of the love around us, and for ourselves. That said, personally, I have yet to master it.

But on the flipside of the coin, and although I don't care to know, What kind of person could do such a thing and not end up putting a bullet through his own brain..(rhetorical, of course)
Thanks for sharing and continue healing
