Silence

A day in silence-
Nothing but the sound of fictional voices in my head,
Living lives apart from mine.

I seek release in its various forms,
But nothing muffles the volume of my silence.

It still screams its taunts at me,
Goading me to fight,
But I can't - or won't...
Paralyzed by this weight of noise crushing me.
So my day of silence moves along,
And I remain mute.
