scars are here to stay

i wrote this a while ago. before i was happy. i fixed it up a bit and decided it was worthy of my writerscafe :)

I can longer trust anyone.

For trust is to easily given away.

This transition is nearly impossible.

Because the blood I shed for you.

It wont go away.

And I know how damned well you hunger for it all to just disappear.

 Blood stains don’t just disappear.

And neither does the make up

Smeared across my pillows.

And neither do the cracks slowly crawling along the walls of my heart.

Nothing is disremembered

By letting it be.

And if by chance I burn in hell, or drown in heaven.

They’ll still be there.

All the memories of the pain you brought upon me.

All the stitches in my soul.

I’ll still feel them.

You’ll tell me to “get over it”

Ill tell you to go find yourself

Like I have.

You say you can take the pain.

This pain is more then the running blood

Down your oh so precious cheeks.

I dare you.

To face it.

With open arms.

Like I have.
