Death of love

Death of love

A Poem by Nina Love

Roses wilted and fading

Petals falling like snow

To lie against your lips

Reminiscent of our last kiss

Lying like death

In snow and mist

Tears trailing from your shattered eyes
Onto my wrist

To form a glittering bracelet

More precious than any diamonds

A farewell gift

The night capturing my cries

Like music in a box

To sift through and remember

When we were safe from all the lies

So we can dance to the sound of my sorrow

And we can forget tonight's indecency tomorrow.
