And Then The World Ends.

And Then The World Ends.

A Poem by Nina Love

All is calm

All is normal

All is quiet.

And Then...

Your mind begins to twist

The ground into a shapeless,

Writhing brown and green sea

And the sky turns black and yellow,

Striped with clouds like a bee.

The trees come alive and dance,

Alive with the glory of freedom.

Ants grow big as cats,

Cats big as dogs,

Dogs big as horses,

And yet...

The horses are shrinking?!

The meadows turn into bogs,

And the sea turns to glass;

Your feet disintegrate beneath you

So you fall on what used to be

Your a*s,

Falling into screamingly quiet,

Bright as sunlight darkness

That blinds you till you see

Nothing but green

And hear nothing but bees.

And Then...

The world ends.
