Inside

I know I look okay,

Outwardlly normal

With only haunted eyes

To belie what's inside

To show that

My heart is breaking

Yet again

That my world is

Coming down around me

And there is nothing I can do

To stop it.

Inside,

My tears choke in my troat,

My sobs,

My cries,

My screams held still inside of me.

Our songs flows in my memories,

Pictures run behind my eyes

Of you and me.

What everyone sees

Is a calm, accepting me,

Little do they know that dying inside

Is the real me.
