Downfall

Downfall

A Poem by Nina Love

I watch as the falling rain closes around you,

You look so distracted, you look so lost.

And I'll allways wonder,

Who you really are.

You never show your inner heart,

Your too afraid to be who you are.

But you can trust in me,

To keep your secret,

So show me your weakness,

Show me your downfall.

You don't have to give all you want to be,

All I need is for you to trust in me.

Show me your weakness and show me your downfall,

I'll never betray who you really are.

Popularity is all we ever want,

But it's just another mask to add, hiding our heart.

Please don't be afraid to be you,

I know that when you stop pretending,

The real you shines through.

And you'r so beautiful,

The way you were meant to be.

I know you've got so much heart,

You don't have to hold your burden back.

I'll be here to catch you if you fall,

I'll be here for you through it all.

I'll be your friend,

I'll be your guiding star.

Just promise to be who you really are.

Show me your weaknesses,

Show me your downfalls.

I don't know what else I can say,

I think I've said it all.

All you gotta do is,

Show me your weakness...

Just show me your downfall

i like this
this was really kewl
you did a good job of showing how popularity can be a mask, how ppl hide, we are all guilty of it, were all afraid, thats why sometiems ppl end up marrying someone they thought they loved and a few years later that person becomes a complete stranger...even your best friend can fool you, its sad but the cold hard truth
nice piece
