Our Story

Our Story

A Poem by Nina Love

If I took your hand,
Would you try to understand?
If I touched your lips,
Would you look away
Or would you turn into the kiss?
Please don't call me sister
When you hold me in your arms.
Please don't call me love
When you try to turn me away unharmed.
Please just stop this,
We both know your stringing me along
Unwilling to commit,
But your sighing in my arms.
Our Friends all see it,
They say that we're in love.
But your in denial,
Saying I'm just a friend.
When will you end this trial
And just give us a chance?
I promise it can't be so bad,
Maybe we can give a happy ending
To a story that starts out so sad.

Be it any relationship, more often than not, what we feel toward someone is not reciprocated in the same intensity. It hurts us, no doubt. But I believe it's better to let things be rather than to try and make someone understand our love and feel for us the way we feelabout him/her. Some things are better left untouched.

There's such a lot of strength in your words. I find it hard to express myself in short sentences. But you've done that perfectly.
This is a fantastic write.

I agree with Lola. Unless you are not making your feelings explicitly clear.
Go for it.

terribly sad.

if she doesn't see it - perhaps she doesn't deserve it.
