Mirage

Mirage

A Poem by LadyRouge

Tonight I sat in a corner.

I saw a girl at my right.

I began to strip her away.

Piece by unperfect piece.

My eyes smoothing over her image,

An attempt to create illusion.

I sat her up straight.

Sucked in bulges not accepted.

Rubbed my fingers over her skin bit by bit.

Starting with her face, removing all blemishes and unnatural hair.

I ran my fingers through her hair, discarding all dead ends.

From her shoulders to her stomach

I made her skin glow silky soft.

I wrapped my arms around her waist and hugged her down to her thighs.

The glow continued and scars disappeared.

A foot in each hand, I messaged away all rough surfaces.

I kissed the tips of each toe making them perfect.

I looked up ...

I saw her image ...

A reflection I couldn't deny ...

I was still the same!
