Empty Desire

Empty Desire

A Poem by LadyRouge
"

A poem about longing with no wisdom of how to give to someone so close to you.

"

Fat girl in a skinny body

Eatting everything she sees.

I know girls like this,

Ones filled with deep hunger

And never expand.

Skin and bones

Is all we see.

Rarely do we look

For more ...

The skinny superficial girl,

We all under estimate.

Skinny girl in a fat body,

Eatting as healthy as can be.

Weighing and counting

Gaining with each breath.

Big bones is her reality.

We look and

We think we know her.

Silently wondering why

She doesn't have more

Self-control.

Both are the same.

Wishing and hoping.

Hiding from their worlk.

Hoping no one

Will notice them

Few friends,

Who know their depth.

Each gril

Looks at the other,

Wishing for something

The other has.

Both having

Something to give

The other,

SISTERS ... UNWILLING.

Wow. When I was younger I was overweight. My grandma always said i was health and big boned. Please. I tried so hard to lose the weight. Thank God for puberty. Then I had my daughter and I put on a lot of weight. I have worked so hard to get it off, but I can't. Sorry, rambling, but this poem speaks to me. Great write.
