D.B. and the Moon

D.B. and the Moon

A Poem by Aline S. Iniestra

Round, and round,

green gray that shine.

Deep in sight, Beautiful two of a kind.

In a picture you can see

that they see; that their bliss and soul are deep.

that they’re glorious and can make you feel…

My moon… one of them can compete against you.

Beautiful as you are, there must be something wrong with them.

Yet I cannot find a flaw, not in you, not in those.

Who would win?

They are two, and it is only you.

In a universe you dwell;

amongst mankind they stay.

They express; static you’re placed.

You can change, but you do it in specific dates.

They can change: intention brings infinite states.

I cannot choose between a pair of eyes and you, my moon.

Both are beautiful and gracious;

I’ll just end this with some lines of affection:

“Beauty and grace are now combined;

The moon reflected in her eyes; her eyes focused on the stars;

when they ran into each other, they became one.

No difference now; the moon … the eyes… beauty to admire.”
