Plummet

Plummet

A Poem by Tai Ryens
"

God, what have I done?

"

How many righteous angels can

Dance on the brink of heaven,

‘Til they plummet into a nightmare

By virtue of their own indiscretion?

Should flames rise above to lick their throats

As they gaze towards distant sun;

Deprecating their past, rebellious psych,

Bawling out:God, what have I done?

Ah such a creative piece. My favorite line would definitely have to be "should flames rise to lick their throats..." only because it paints such a vivd image. The entire piece was great!
